This is my problem with nationalism. Nationalism involves forming a certain 'group', a national identity. In order to form an identity you have to define what it is not. Once you have something your group is not, you being to view yourself in what you are not. If you think your group is smart, it must be relative to the other group etc.
This leads to the degradation of people based on the group you believe they belong to (or don't belong to) instead of on their individual merit. That makes me sick.
